Style File Friday: Boot Weather!!! Okay, well, here in NYC today it’s actually more like BEACH weather than BOOT weather… but I’m preparing! Because I am SO excited for autumn. My absolute FAVORITE season. I’ve already been apple picking and now I have more apples than I know what to do with! Granted, I wouldn’t go apple picking in this outfit, but my God, is it not gorgeous?? Everything about it. I LOVE THIS OUTFIT. The belt, the boots, the dress, her glasses, her makeup, the clutch… just wrap it up and send it over!

Style File! Summer Casual

I was looking back through my archives (thanks to a weird influx of spam comments. UGH, SPAM! I shake my fist at you!), and I realized it had been a while since I’d put together a virtual outfit that I’ll never own. ::sigh:: But one can dream, right?

So, here is my summer casual style file! Although I love the look of jeans, in the NYC heat and humidity, I just cannot stand to put denim onto my body. I end up spending most of my time in skirts and dresses and rompers.

The meat of the outfit, is this little dress/romper. I wish it was a little longer, as I don’t tend to wear things THIS short, but still. It’s super cute and looks very cool.

I would add a belt to it, simply because with my body type, styles work better when they accentuate my waist. I’d go with a skinny camel colored belt, so that I could accessorize with browns–and wear these absolutely fabulous shoes! I’m completely lusting after them.

Lastly, no outfit is complete without a handbag and in summertime? You can’t leave the house without a pair of sunglasses!

Style Files – Craving

Contrary to popular belief ::ehem:: I am not suddenly a millionaire now that I’ve sold my first book. (For the record…I’m not sure many people actually believe that writers are millionaires anymore, but it felt like a good way to start…)

I love to shop. But I don’t necessarily have the money to shop as much as I would like. Hence the reason pinterest and online window shopping are amazing things. I would like to add this look to my style files…It’s the perfect casual outfit in my opinion!

::sigh:: who wants to go to Uniqlo with me??

I love everything about this outfit. The only change I might make is a more dangly earring. I’d put the pearls in my second or third piercing though.

I would wear this coat over top if it was still chilly out. Because…I mean really. Look at it. It’s beautiful. And it’s called the “Coffee Shop Cardigan.” IT’S CLEARLY MEANT FOR ME!

This bag doesn’t necessarily match perfectly, but it is SO CUTE. And I like that extra pop of color it adds. Particularly since this is an outfit I would wear to go write at a cafe. And this bag looks as though it could hold my laptop.

And lastly, this is how I would wear my hair. Because it’s cute. It’s casual and it fits with the whole look.
If anyone wants to buy me ANY of these things I will happily accept said gifts. =0) Happy hump day, my friends!!
