Style File Friday: Summer Casual

I don’t know about you, but on hot summer days, the last thing I want to do is get fancy. One of my favorite things about summer is that you can get away with casual clothes that are comfortable and stylish without looking like you’ve completely given up on style (like in the winter when I end up wearing sweatpants and Uggs ALL THE FREAKING TIME!).

This compilation is so cute and shows what a simple white shirt and jeans can be dressed up as with just a few accessories and cute sandals. And that hairstyle? The messy bun? Yeah, that pretty much sums up my look EVERY DAY OF THE YEAR. I love the wood bangle, the purse, and the strappy sandal. The casual jeans with the chunky belt (boyfriend jeans are still my absolute favorite) are the perfect blank canvas for this look… the only thing that’s a little unrealistic is that scarf. On humid days that get up to 90 degrees or higher? The last thing I want is a scrap of cloth heating up my neck. BUT, I love it from a style perspective, so it snuck into the collage. =)
